By the decision of the Union of Myanmar Government Meeting (No. 16/2009) held on April 30 of 2009, Government Technical Institute (Putao) is allowed to establish and newly in May of 2009. And it is successfully opened and started to teach in December of 2009.
Location and Area
Government Technical Institute (Putao) is situated near the DokeTan-Pool (beside the Myitkyina-Putao Highway) in DokeTan quarter(5) in the south of Putao city.
The area of GTI (Putao) was 5 acres originally, however today, it is totally 10 acres because of the permission order of 5 acres extension on November of 2020.
